Repertory & Tom Sawyer Ballet

So in Repertory at my Summer Intensive (dance camp) for the second thru fifth weeks, we learned part of Paquita, Swan Lake, and La Bayadere.  It was so much fun!! I am not sure what part we learned in Paquita, but I know that it was three people dancing first, then they each had solos.  Then there were 2 variations to learn.  In Swan Lake, we learned the 6 Princesses and the guys learned the Prince (at the ball) and we did some partnering with that.  In La Bayadere, we learned the Shades, the Waltz, and 3 other variations; but we did La Bayadere over 2 weeks instead of 1.  It was fun!!

I am sort of conflicted MAYBE with our Spring performance, Tom Sawyer.  Because one of my best friends is going to China for a year to visit her dad, and if I can’t come for New Years, then I will have to decide whether to go see her over Spring Break or not.  So I really hope that I can go over New Years.

But Now Summer Intensive is over, and I have nothing to do until I go to California in August.  And my friend is leaving for China in 3 days.  IT’S SO SAD!!

I feel like dancing.  So like yeah.

  1. You did a great job in La Bayadere! My ankles hurt just watching you. Keep up the great dancing.
